Are you in the middle of your wedding planning and considering booking a live band? With this checklist we show you how to book a live band for your very own dream wedding in three simple steps, and what to keep in mind along the way. 1. Which band suits our wedding?
The bigger the choice, the harder the decision. One thing is certain: above all, the music should please you and suit your wedding. So think in advance about whether you would like to keep it classic and a string quartet is more your thing, or whether your indie wedding is better accompanied by a folk band. Simply inquire with the artists free of charge and without obligation via SofaConcerts and you will be in direct contact with the musicians.

By the way! Many bands also play cover songs. Just discuss special song requests directly with the musicians and ask them whether they will play your favorite song for you.
2. The right setting for our wedding band
When should the band play? Think about a precise schedule during your wedding planning. Musical accompaniment is well suited for the reception drinks, or ever so romantically during the ceremony. During the wedding meal, too, a band works well as dinner music. But you can just as well book a band for the wedding dance and the subsequent party. Of course you can also hire several different wedding bands at once for your big day.

3. Booking the wedding band
Inquire with the wedding band or the wedding singer directly for your wedding day as the desired date.
You then make a proposal for the fee. But what does a wedding band actually cost? Well, that depends entirely on how big and how established the band is. It also depends, of course, on how long the musicians play and whether they have a long journey to get there. You should budget at least 300 EUR, though. Whether a glamorous wedding celebration or a fine wedding on a small budget, we have the right wedding musicians for you.
A wedding is a private event and therefore not subject to GEMA fees. So you do not have to worry about that when you book a band!
Most SofaConcerts bands bring their own technology and equipment. At this point, keep in mind that an acoustic set means less effort than a big party band.
